Times or Times New Roman --> Linux LibertineSerif - according to the
Times wiki page.
The others, I will have to look up again to get what is listed as the
best free versions as a replacement,; though DejaVu Sans works well as
an Arial replacement.

how did you 'pinpoint' the problem to the DE in your OS? Were other programs
having problems too?
