Which format was the file saved in? Do you know if it's .docX, .doc

I've no idea why it happened. I don't think anyone else has reported
anything similar yet. Generally it's worth keeping back-ups whatever

I tend to add a "version number" to the end of files and occasionally

Hi :)
I think he is talking about some document-specific thing introduced in

That is why having a backup copy option and a auto save for recovery is

I think every time you open or save the document, you might get a backup
copy [or maybe not]. You will have to check the documentation to know
for sure.
I have had a few system crashes, yes for both Windows and

If so, in 4.0 there has been a change in the API.

You could always turn on the "back up" option.
Tools > Options > Load/Save > General
"Always create a backup copy"
Then make the "Save AutoRecovery information every" to be 1 or 2 minutes.
Then there is the "Automatically save the document too" option [yes it
states "too"]

MariaDB is compatible with MySQL, the MySQL connectors, and MySQL API
and is designed to be a drop-in replacement for MySQL. I have connected
to MariaDB using the LO provided MySQL connector on earlier versions of
LO. I have not done so with 4.1.X yet.
