You have a few options: 1) You can press cancel the next time you start LibreOffice. This should end the endless recovery process. 2) You could check in the directory where the offending file was, if you see there a (hidden - so you might want to activate the "show hidden files" option) file with a similar name that ends in *.lock Delete this file and the recovery process should not be started the next time. 3) I think, that there is a third option, that you can start LibO from the commandline with the -norestore option, but I'm not 100 % sure about this.
