Sorry i thought i had replied to list but it seems i was mistaken. Ive got it sussed now, i have to *double click* in the cell and then *add a space* after the fraction before pressing ctrlZ (as the fraction was the only text in the cell, i didn't think to do either of these). Then it works just as i need it to. Thanks for your help.

If you have already written further characters or have exit edit mode, it will not work.
