Hi. Running Ubuntu 22.04 with LO 7.3.4.2 Ubuntu package 1:7.3.4. Before you ask, yes I RTFMed. Still can't get this working. I write stories where the chapters are individual files. First chapter has pages 1-15. Second chapter in a whole other file has to start with page 16. Is there a really straight forward example of this somewhere? I remember this being easier in Word. I can't get it to work in LO Writer. Thank you.
I'm using LOWriter 6.4.7.2 in Ubuntu 20.04 and I have the same use case. The method described in the help page works for me. I have the offline help file for v6.4 and here is the paragraph concerned :
To Start With a Defined Page Number Now you want some more control on page numbers. You are writing a text document that should start with page number 12. 1. Click into the first paragraph of your document. 2. Choose Format - Paragraph - Text flow. 3. In the Breaks area, enable Insert. Enable With Page Style just to be able to set the new Page number. Click OK. The new page number is an attribute of the first paragraph of the page.
hth with your version.
