Hi :)
I think we have heard from people who have tried it. I think Ian or

MariaDb. I'm not sure but i think there might be a problem with
MariaDb on Mac but if you are not using a Mac then it should be fine.

Hi :)
Is your new computer using LIbreOffice 4.2.0? If so then it might be
a good idea to install LibreOffice 4.1.4 instead to replace it. You
can fidn out the version number by going to the "Help" menu and then
click on "About LibreOffice"

4.2.0 is not stable branch. It does not become stable branch until it
reaches around .3 or .4 and that is several months away. The 4.1.x

with it's 4.1.4.
The 4.2.0 is the feature-rich branch and has many new features well

Hi,
I followed Henri's recommendation and installed LO 4.2.0.4, Build ID:

The effect is that 4.2 gets started automatically instead of 4.1.3. On the

Thanks. That's a good explanation. Doesn't make sense that the unitiated

Yes, the new computer is using LibreOffice 4.2 and the old computer is

this would occur?

Hi :)
The in-built help is not always perfect nor up-to-date and has a very
tiny team maintaining it and they seem to be a bit geeky sometimes.
The English Documentation Team are not involved in updating or
de-geekifying them.
The best help (in English) is the Published Guides from
